During the six moon landings between 1969 and 1972, the Apollo astronauts captured several panoramas. This was done by the astronaut standing in one spot, and then taking several single photos of the location as he rotated in a 360 degree circle. The result was about 20 photos which when laid alongside each other, would form a panoramic mosaic of the location.
This poster, designed by cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, marks the 17th annual Planetary Congress (held September 2001) of the Association of Space Explorers, the world's only association of astronauts and cosmonauts. Bearing the authentic autographs of the those who attended, only 174 of these posters were signed. Attendees received personal copies leaving a limited number for sale.

Focusing on the hands of the team, Story choreographs "the dance", aboard the space shuttle Endeavour during the historic STS-61 mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope, including onboard experiments in zero-G and "getting to the window" - experiencing the incredible view from space. Take a galactic journey to experience a boundless view of earth and natural phenomena such as hurricanes, volcanoes, and auroras, and see our solar system and universe through the eyes of the Viking, Voyager and Hubble Space Telescope.
A-OK! The Wings of Mercury is a realistic simulation of the Mercury spacecraft. It features 3D graphics, fully functional control panels, networked simulations, and a complete manual. Here are just some of the features: Real-time trajectory modeling accurately simulates the ascent, orbital and reentry dynamics of the spacecraft. Atmospheric drag, thrust and mass are just three of the many variables used in the sophisticated integration techniques used. Accurate, real-time 3D graphics that simulate the cockpit and window view. At the end of a simulation, A-OK! Can produce a detailed HTML-based report on your mission. Just like the real thing, you can only receive when you are over a ground station and you'll get static as you slip in and slip out of range. The data is saved in a standard comma-delimited text file that you can export to an external analysis tool like Microsoft Excel. Space flight enthusiasts can network with other enthusiasts to run large-scale simulations over the web.
The award winning Air Burst Rockets System incorporates an entirely new propulsion technology, utilizing air to create a shock wave and venturi effect that launches its rockets higher and faster than any non-combustion rockets on Earth! Through the bursting of membrane boosters within the launcher, Air Burst generates astounding power that sends its rockets to amazing heights. With a few pumps from a stand-up bicycle pump, its rockets can be easily and repeatedly launched. And the system is completely safe -- no combustible or expensive rocket engines used! With five different altitude levels to choose from, you can launch Air Burst rockets to varying heights reaching up to 1,000 feet and even beyond visual range. Be prepared for a truly amazing model rocketry experience! Each set includes launcher, two different rockets with contrail streamers for enhanced visibility, and 60 membrane boosters. Bicycle pump sold separately below. (The system operates with any common stand-up bicylce pump.) Also sold separately are additional rockets and booster membranes. Recommended for ages 10 and up. Adult supervision suggested.
As seen on the The Tony Danza Show and powered by patented JUMPING JAX technology, our Air Kicks seem to defy gravity with every fun-filled step. The mission of Apollo 13 was slated to be the third manned lunar landing mission, to the Fra Mauro region of the moon. Just two days out an oxygen explosion not only cancelled any hope of landing on the moon, but left the crew in mortal peril. This 3-DVD set, features the compete TV transmissions and onboard film from the voyage, and includes footage from training and preparation for the mission, including EVA training, explanations of the planned mission that was never completed, as well as coverage of rollout, suitup, launch, recovery, extensive mission control footage during the days following the accident, recovery footage, and footage of world reaction to the successful homecoming of the crew. Aside from Apollo 11, the mission of Apollo 13 is probably the best known and most well-documented of the Apollo missions. This set presents the real record of the mission in a way never seen before. The complete record of the incredible voyage of Apollo 13.
The fifth successful lunar landing mission, Apollo 16 was the second of NASA’s “J” lunar missions. With extended lunar stay times and the greater mobility afforded by the lunar rover, the final three Apollo lunar landing missions greatly expanded man’s first program of lunar exploration. John Young, Charlie Duke, and Ken Mattingly executed a spectacular mission to the Descartes highlands. The landing site lies in the central lunar highlands in hilly, grooved and furrowed lurain. The mission was the first to a lunar highlands area -- quite different from any location previously visited. Young and Duke explored the site during 3 EVAs, while Mattingly conducted an extensive program of scientific observation from lunar orbit. This 6-disc Extended Collector's Edition from Spacecraft Films differs from the original released in 2003 through the addition of audio tracks, the addition of the audio during the lunar surface traverses, and the addition of a landing site flyover. The packaging also has been redesigned to more closely resemble other Spacecraft Films releases.

These suits sport many cool features such as multiple pockets to storing gear, NASA patches for Apollo 11 mission (Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins), and an optional custom name tag. Detailed for historical accuracy, these suits make a great astronaut costume for Halloween, school projects or backyard space missions.
This limited-edition cachet (first-day cover) contains two U.S. stamps, issued and canceled on the same day as the launch of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (July 16, 1975). These stamps share the design of two Soviet stamps released on the same date to commemorate this historic first joint U.S./Soviet mission.
The Soyuz was launched just over seven hours prior to the launch of the Apollo CSM. Apollo then maneuvered to rendezvous and docking 52 hours after the Soyuz launch. The Apollo and Soyuz crews conducted a variety of experiments over a two-day period. After separation, Apollo remained in space an additional 06 days. Soyuz returned to Earth approximately 43 hours after separation.
This emblem, designed by the Soviets, was commissioned by NASA to mark the first international manned space flight. The five-year program was conducted to establish space rescue techniques for the USA and the USSR, conduct scientific experiments, and to study the feasibility of more ambitious joint future projects. This mission marked the first major cooperation between the only two nations then engaged in manned space flight. It was the first meeting of two manned spacecraft of different nations in space. The flight established workable joint docking mechanisms, thus taking the firsts steps toward developing mutual space rescue capabilities.
